The stem is contact plant roots, leaves and vegetative organs conducting water, inorganic salt and organic matter, a few in the underground. Stems with a bud, bud sprouting and branching, the formation of a large leaf system, supporting the whole plant body. Stems also have the function of storage and reproduction.
